SSS Fence Philanthropy
SSS Fence proudly supports the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
SSS Fence donates a percentage of monthly sales to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Donations are made monthly, and are based on customer invoices paid the previous month.
What is Multiple Sclerosis?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a demyelinating disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. This damage disrupts the ability of parts of the nervous system to communicate, resulting in a range of signs and symptoms, including physical, mental, and sometimes psychiatric problems. Specific symptoms can include double vision, blindness in one eye, muscle weakness, trouble with sensation, or trouble with coordination.
Who is the National Multiple Sclerosis Society?
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) is a non-profit organization based in New York City with chapters located throughout the United States. The organization funds research, advocates for social and political change, provides education, and sponsors services that help people with multiple sclerosis and their families. The NMSS was founded as the Association for Advancement of Research on Multiple Sclerosis, in 1946.
